Flocculants and clarifiers for pools
Flocculants and clarifiers remove suspended particles that make water cloudy, white or milky. A flocculant clumps the fine particles together so they sink to the bottom for the pool cleaner to pick up; a clarifier improves the water's filtration. Essential after a shock treatment, after storms, or as weekly preventive maintenance.

Preguntas frecuentes
Flocculant or clarifier: which should I use?▾
A flocculant (liquid or tablets) is more aggressive — it clumps particles together and drops them to the bottom within hours. A clarifier is gentler; it improves filtration but does not remove sediment. For very cloudy water: flocculant. For maintenance: clarifier.
How much flocculant should I add?▾
Treatment: 50–100 ml of liquid flocculant per 25 m³. Weekly preventive maintenance: 25–50 ml per 25 m³.
When does the water clear after using flocculant?▾
Turn off the pump after adding the flocculant (it needs still water to settle). Within 6–12 h the particles sink to the bottom. Then vacuum up the sediment and backwash the filter.
